Adding a Product
This guide shows you how to add a new, simple product (one without variants like sizes or colors).
How to add a product

Go to the Products page
Click "Products" in the sidebar under Operations.

Click 'Add Product'
Click the "Add Product" or "New Product" button at the top of the page.

Fill in the product details
You'll see a form with the following fields:
- Product Name — the name of the product (e.g., "Coca-Cola 50cl")
- Description (optional) — a brief description of the product
- Price — the selling price
- Cost (optional) — how much you pay for the product (useful for profit tracking)
- Barcode (optional) — the product's barcode number for quick scanning
- Category — assign the product to a category
- Image (optional) — upload a product photo

Set the stock quantity
Enter the initial stock quantity — how many units of this product you currently have. This is tracked per location.

Save the product
Click "Save" or "Create Product" to add the product. It will now appear in your product list and be available on the POS screen.

Tips
- Choose a clear, descriptive product name — this is what you and your staff will search for on the POS screen
- Adding a barcode makes checkout faster because you can scan products instead of searching
- Always set the correct starting stock quantity to keep your inventory accurate
