Managing Categories
Categories help you organize your products into groups. This makes it easier to find products on the POS screen and keep your inventory tidy.
Examples of categories: Beverages, Electronics, Clothing, Food, Stationery, Medicine.
Creating a category

Go to Categories
Click "Categories" in the sidebar under Operations.

Click 'Add Category'
Click the "Add Category" button.

Enter the category details
Fill in:
- Name — the category name (e.g., "Beverages")
- Description (optional) — a brief note about what this category includes
- Image (optional) — an image to represent the category

Save
Click "Save" to create the category. You can now assign products to it.
Editing a category
- Go to Categories
- Click on the category you want to edit
- Update the name, description, or image
- Click Save
Deleting a category
- Go to Categories
- Click on the category
- Click "Delete"
- Confirm the deletion
Deleting a category will not delete the products inside it. Those products will simply become uncategorized.
How categories appear on the POS
On the POS screen, categories appear as filter tabs above the product grid. Tap a category name to show only products in that group. Tap "All" to see everything again.
